Warren Dunes Camping Reservation - Warren Dunes State Park is a 1,952-acre (7.90 km2) Michigan state park located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan in Berrien County. The park's large sand dunes and beaches make it Michigan's most popular state park, with an average of one million visitors a year.
There are large dunes around the park. Among the dunes of the park is Mt. Fuller, Pikes Peak and Mt. Edwards, and the main attraction is Tower Hill, the park's highest point, 240 feet (73 meters) above Lake Michigan. This dune is mostly visited by tourists, many of whom enjoy climbing up and down its slopes. Easy access to the dunes makes it a popular destination for the sport of sandboarding.

The dunes and beaches were managed by local businessman Edward K. Warren, who originally bought the site as a favor for a friend who was in serious financial difficulties. In the 1930s, Warren Dunes was acquired as a state park.

These mounds formed in Lake Michigan after the glaciers disappeared about 10,000 years ago. Today, the giant mountains of soft sand move every day with winds, waves and visitors who climb, run, walk and drift behind them.
Michigan reserves 1,952 acres of this natural beauty in Warren Dunes State Park, along with three miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. The wooded and open deck rises 260 feet, creating beautiful views of this Great Lake and hours of fun and relaxing fun.

At Warren Dunes, you can do a variety of things at any time of the year, such as hiking, climbing the dunes, watching the sunset, stars and constellations. Air filling.
The park also makes it easy to get to the beach in a wheelchair. There are three walkways between the sun and water walkways and two beach/water wheelchairs that can be rented. Wheelchair users can use the campsite, paved roads and trails.
Warren Dunes has six miles of hiking trails, most of which are challenging and all offer scenic views. You can climb the trails all year round, but the best months are from March to November. Dogs are welcome on most trails, but keep them on a six-foot or shorter leash at all times. Trails range from ⅓ mile to mile in length. The Most Scenic Campsite In Every State
Don't leave a loved one at home. Dogs are welcome on a leash in the park's campgrounds and on forest trails, trails and beach! Situated on the far north side of the bathing area, there is a two and a half mile stretch of beach where you and your dog can run, play, splash in the water and just enjoy being outside. For everyone's safety, keep your dog on a 2-meter leash or under your control at all times and dispose of all pet waste in the bin.
You will need a Michigan Annual Recreation Pass or Day Pass to enter. There are passport fees for cars, bicycles and mopeds. After purchase, you can use your passport to enjoy all state parks in Michigan's Lower and Upper Peninsulas!

Food vendors are found on all beaches from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The beach resorts and gift shop will be closed after Columbus Day weekend.
From April 1 to September 30, no alcoholic beverages may be possessed or consumed in the park without permission from a park official. Despite the change in the law, the use of marijuana in public places is prohibited.
Detroiters Need To Visit This Little Known State Park In Michigan
Dogs are allowed north of the third beach car park. You can't leave it anywhere in the car. Pets are not allowed in the mini houses. Pets must be kept on a 6-meter leash and must not be left unattended. Please clean up after your pets. Please clean up after your pets.
Campers cannot camp for more than 15 nights. The campsites must be occupied every night on weekends and holidays during peak season. Camping for a minimum of two nights on weekends (Friday and Saturday) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Two vehicles are allowed on the campsite. Guests must check out by 22:00. Cars are not allowed on the road. Licensed vehicles and vehicles are allowed on park roads. Fires are prohibited.
Any glass containers, alcoholic beverages and any type of food are prohibited on the beach (in any area behind the beach promenade). Pets are not allowed on the beach, in the semi-detached houses or on the grounds. Beach rules and regulations in day use areas are posted on notice boards and buildings. Be careful - the sand can be very hot and shoes are a must.
Great lakes are strong waters. DO NOT swim near or jump off cavity walls or channel walls. Always be aware of changing conditions and the beach flag notification system available at designated bathing areas. Before you leave, visit Michigan.gov/BeachSafety.

Insects and diseases have destroyed MILLIONS OF TREES in Michigan, often after putting firewood. Heat treated fuel should only be purchased at the park or from nearby retailers. If you're not going to use it, don't take it and take it home with you. Fires are allowed in designated fire circles. Do not leave fire unattended.
